Monday Funnies and Chapter 7 of "Skeleton Key" blogvel
Hello Monday!
Chapter 7 of the Round Robin Blogvel is up at Kacimari's Hey Now. If you want to follow along, check out the other chapters in the Table of Contents section.
I found the (worst most brilliant funniest) analogies written in a high school essay while surfing the net last week. I'm posting a few of my personal favorites. To see the rest, check out When Bad Writing Becomes Funny compiled by Macarray.
Enjoy!
"She caught your eye like one of those pointy hook latches that used to dangle from screen doors and would fly up whenever you banged the door open again."
--Rich Murphy, Fairfax Station
"McBride fell 12 stories, hitting the pavement like a Hefty bag filled with vegetable soup."
--Paul Sabourin, Silver Spring
"Her hair glistened in the rain like nose hair after a sneeze."
--Chuck Smith, Woodbridge
Have a great day, everyone!

Love it! Those are hysterical!! Thanks for sharing :)
Haha! That's great! My fave is the nose hair one. Such beautiful imagery, yes? LOL
The screen door thing, oh yes, I love catching people's eyes that way!
One of the best things my husband has ever said - it was to my then 14-year-old little brother - "Girls stick to you like flies on pooh." Classic.
Those are so funny! How does one exactly know what a hefty bag with tomato soup in it looks like? Has he dropped one 12 stories?
Haha! I love the first analogy, though I'm not quite sure I know what he's talking about. He should have used a few more sentences to drive the point home. :)
LOL. Someone should write a book with those kinds of analogies--I know I'd be cracking up over it. :D
Oh gross! Those last two certainly left strong images... Haha!
Enjoyed the analogies. Quirky, weren't they?
Glistening nose hair. Ugh!
"Nose hair after a sneeze" - eww! These are too funny. Thanks for sharing!
Nothing says romance like a good nose hair!
