A Wordle Thank-You

Oh, happy Friday! The weekend is here!

It's been a great and fun week for me. I hope yours had been, too. Anyway, I'm sure a lot of you have already heard or used WORDLE before. For those of you not acquainted with this funny word, Wordle is a fun toy that lets you create word clouds. All you need to do is copy and paste your text--it can be a blogpost, your short story, your whole ms even, and the words that are frequently used will come up bigger than the others. It's a useful tool for editing, yes for EDITING your MS, because it lets you see how many just, like, that, was words (and other unnecessary ones) are littering your beloved work.

You can also play around with Wordle and create your own works of art. Today I made one to honor my wonderful followers who've stuck with me through the crazies, the fun, and the laughs.

Here's one for you, my friends: (Click on the picture to see it in full size)

To all of you, THANKS! You make my blogging experience a positive one. ;)

Have a great weekend!

Wordle is fun!
Thanks for the Twitter shout out and I'm following you too!

Oh crap. I think I blocked you and unblocked you by accident. I have TwitterButterFingers! You may have to refollow me...sorry! I'll get better at this eventually...

Wordle up! That's pretty cool. I always wondered how they did that stuff. I thought it was witchcraft or something.

I love seeing these wordles but have never done one myself. This one is wonderful. Have a great weekend!

I like using Wordle for overused words, too. Wordle taught me I was using the word "like" too often. At http://www.tagxedo.com/ you can design the word cloud using any image you upload. Here's one I created with the entire text from my mss and an image of a creature I made up (same creature I use as my avatar). http://on.fb.me/l2l528

Have a great weekend, Cherie. :D

Wordle is so fun! I made a cloud from a blog entry a while back and was amused that the word "POO" was one of the largest and most prominent within the cloud...oh dear.

Oh wordles are so fun! They can also become something of a time suck! Haha. Have a great weekend!

Phresh makes me laugh.

I might have to use this in the future. :-)

Now THAT is awesome. How smart of you to use it for editing... I'm just afraid "asshole" might show up predominantly in mine....

See? You guys are just awesome! Thanks for the comments! Yup, Wordle is fun and addicting. ;)

Christine, have fun!

Lydia, don't worry. I followed u back. :) I've done that before--accidentally blocking someone and then unblocking them.

Sean, your curse, er, gift follows you, doesn't it. Only you would see witchcraft and sorcery in Wordle. ;)

Sarah, you too!

TS, I'll check those out for sure. :D

Bethany, yay, Phresh and I made you happy!

Phresh, just POO? Not goat poo?

Krispy, thanks for stopping by. You have a good weekend too!

Kate, go try it. It's fun, plus you can edit the colors and font. Also layout. Or you can just click the Randomize button and find one you like.

Mindy, LOL! It makes editing kinda fun and less of a pain. That is, if you don't get stuck playing with it for hours.

I have seen this Wordle thing that you speak of! Someday, if I ever ever ever finish my rough draft, I shall use wordle. If only to mock my overuse of the word "just". And "so".

:)

I've used that tool (or one similar) before and loved it. I need to see if I can find the one I created, since I stacked the deck with phrases and words that were important to me at the time, lol!
