What's On Your Nightstand?

It's Fall Break, hooray!

Since I finished writing my WIP's first draft, I've just been drifting around--I finished outlining my NaNoWriMo story, which is an MG Fantasy my daughter already knows and loves (yes, I've told her the story), haven't touched or peeked the WIP (must let it simmer, according to the editing experts), and I've been spending a lot of time with the family doing Fall-ish things (getting pumpkins, making Halloween decorations, going out to see the Witches' Village, looking for costumes, etc. etc.). While this is all fine and dandy, I realized I haven't read any of the books I have sitting on my nightstand. I fear if I don't get to it, they'll topple over and smother me while I'm asleep.

So! A challenge. How many books do you think I can finish in the week before November 1st (when NaNoWriMo starts)?

Do you think I'm crazy? I used to be able to read 4 to 5 books in a week, back in my days of living under a rock.

Sounds like you are all ready to go for NaNoWriMo! Ahhh I can't wait.

You've got some awesome books in line! I've heard Wintergirls is really good. I have faith in you--I think you can get six books into this week if you spend a lot of time reading! I miss being able to read for fun...
nowadays my textbooks are the only things I have time for.
