A Quick Hello!

Hello! I hope you all had a great and fun holiday season. ;) I think I'm almost getting back into the swing of things...almost. Thank you for the comments you all left me in my last and very old blogpost. I've missed you all! It's been hard keeping up with the blog because of a certain reason I will reveal soon in the near future. (Um, no, I don't have an agent. I haven't even started querying yet.) :D

So. Anyway, I wish you all good health and happiness to ring in the New Year. Do you have resolutions for 2012? Goals? Mini-goals?

I'm hoping to get back into writing and finishing my NaNo novel, which needed at least 10k more to end the story. Also, I have my other WIP Hidden awaiting edits. I think I've let it stew long enough. ;) My brain has really been in a foggy state lately so I'm hoping to get back my focus really soon. Must be all those holiday goodies. I swear my kitchen counter is overflowing with treats and chocolates and fudgey goodness, and I just can't...I mean, who's gonna eat them all? Good thing candies last for a long while, eh?

Well, I'll see ya when I see ya. Now that I have a brand-new laptop for Christmas (thanks to the hubster!), this writer is going places...or something like that. ;)

Here's a picture of the cake my hubs and I made for Christmas--a Buche de Noel!

1. I love the cake and wish it was mine.
2. My numero uno goal is to finish editing my book so it's actually not POS.
3. Happy Holidays!

And just so you're not creeped out, that last comment was left by me!

ha ha Erin, I read your husbands profile, too funny :) I missed seeing you here! I hope your 'certain reason' is going to ease up and let be a blogger again ;) Yummy cake!

"It's been hard keeping up with the blog because of a certain reason I will reveal soon in the near future..." Way to keep us in suspense :P

Hope you had a great holiday season. Glad to hear you're getting back into the swing of things, and that I'm not the only one with too many sweets!

As for my goals... I'm still thinking on them. I've got five days left, and it looks like I'm going to procrastinate as much as possible!

Goals: 1- lose the 50 pounds I gained through NaNo and Christmas. 2) finish revisions and polishing by end of January 3) start querying in Feb. 4) win a million dollars playing the Megabucks by my house (what? I live in Las Vegas...it could happen!0)

Can't wait to find out what this certain reason is!

My goal is to rewrite/revise and edit the novel I finished last February; it's my first novel, so it needs a lot of work.

Glad to hear you are getting caught up! And the yule log looks delish.

Eeeeee! The news to come soon.... Happy Holidays!
I can sense the presence of the shiny new machine behind your keystrokes...it will deliver greatness.

Ah, if your news is what I think it is, I'm so excited for you. I'll wait to hear before I open my big mouth, though. :)

Glad you had a wonderful holiday. The cake looks spectacular. Happy New Year, my dear.

Sugar pie--you have a soon to be big reason to be foggy brained :) hee!

My goal/resolution for the new year: Cut myself some slack. I tend to hold myself to standards that no one can reach--then feel like a failure when I don't meet them.

You are preaching to the choir! My kitchen is STILL overflowing with Christmas goodies! I'm hoping I'll eat so much of the stuff, I won't want anymore until next Christmas (one can wish, right?).

Oh, and my hubby bought me a new laptop too! Except mine is an early anniversary gift (10 years in February!)

Hope you had a lovely Christmas! :o)

@Cruise to the Max/Erin: I didn't get creeped out but I did wonder who you were. ;)Erin, your hubs' profile is cute and funny.

@J.A.: Thanks, Jen. ;)

@Morgan: Yeah, procrastination...I do that, too. ;D Thanks for stopping by!

@Jessie: You do NOT need to lose 50 pounds, sexy mama! ;) Good luck with the Megabucks. :)

@Golden Eagle: I also see a lot of editing in my future, even though I'm not on my first novel (the first one is never to see the light of day--it is uneditable. hehe)

@Julie: Just barely scratching the surface but it is good to get back in the writing/blogging fray. ;)

@Jenny of the Phreshness (I just love saying that!): Happy Holidays to you, too! <3 And yes, the keystrokes are very shiny and make sharp clicking sounds that I like. Crossing fingers for the greatness...if not, I'm just happy to bang away with my fingers anyway and be able to do it in any room in the house. :D

@T.S.: Ah, you are wise, my friend. And I think you DO know what my reason is 'cause you're so smart. <3 u!

@Bethnay: That's a good goal! I think I go crazy too trying to meet up MY own expectations. Time to stop beating ourselves up, eh? Love ya!

@Angela: Yeah, this time of the year = not good for the waistline. It's probably why by January we see lots of exercise videos and equipments in stores. December: eat up and eat some more. January: Lose the extra flab. *crazy*

Oh, Happy Anniversary (early) to you and your hubby! Hooray for new laptops! <3

The cake looks yummy!

I don't have resolutions as such, but I would like to get at least one of my novels through the editing stage this year :-)

Working on the new year's goals now. Of course I'll have something book related.
My kitchen counter's doing the same thing! More treats than a family of six can eat.
Hoping you have a fantastic New Year's celebration! :)

Goals:
1. Daily walk of faith.
2. Polish The Crystal Sword and get it published.
3. Healthier living - that means more exercise and that four letter word - diet.
4. Living life fully with family - more laughter and hugs.
